HANDE KÜDEN
VIOLIN
Born in Adana in 1992, Hande Küden completed her undergraduate education at Çukurova University State Conservatory, where she started her violin studies at the age of 9. She pursued her master’s degree at Hanns Eisler Berlin Academy of Music as a student of Stephan Picard. Küden won first prizes in the middle category of the 2nd National Gülden Turalı Violin Competition, the 14th International Young Musicians Chamber Music Competition, and the Necdet Remzi Atak Violin Competition. As a member of the Lepidus Quartet since 2011, she also won first place in Yaşar University’s 3rd Chamber Music Competition. She performed Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with Hüseyin Sermet and Efe Baltacıgil, accompanied by the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at the Berlin Konzerthaus and Beethovenfest Bonn.
As a soloist, Küden has played with various orchestras, including the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, and the Turkey-Armenia Youth Orchestra. She served as the concertmaster for the Istanbul-Essen Youth Orchestra and as the second violin section leader for the Turkey-Germany Youth Orchestra. At the age of 18, she passed the auditions for the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra with first place and joined the ensemble. In 2012, she won the audition for the Deutsche Symphonie Orchesterakademie, becoming an orchestra member. The young violinist has given recitals in Russia, Tatarstan, and Germany.
