Born in Bingöl, Teyfik Rodos entered the vocal department of Izmir State Conservatory in 1983. He began his vocal and voice training with Prof. Sevda Aydan and Prof. Müfit Bayraşa, and received stage and role training from Necdet Aydın. In 1989, Rodos performed various concerts in France with the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra and Choir. He graduated in 1990 and started working at the Izmir State Opera the same year. His professional career began in 1991 with his first major role as Don Pasquale.

In 1993, Rodos participated in a tour to the Burgas Opera (Bulgaria) where he performed in Macbeth. That same year, he began working with Russian pedagogue Prof. Konstantin Lisovsky. In 2001, he received a state scholarship and went to Vienna to study repertoire and interpretation for a year with renowned bass Prof. Jevgeni Nesterenko.

Rodos has also performed bass parts in Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, A. A. Saygun’s Yunus Emre, A. Hoca’s Çanakkale Çanakkale, and Aydınlıgın Adı Atatürk oratorios. He participated in the Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival with The Magic Flute, La Bohème, Nabucco, Fidelio, Don Giovanni, The Flying Dutchman, Tosca, Medea, and Turandot, as well as in the International Istanbul Opera Festival with Imeneo, Aşk-ı Memnu, and Murat IV.

In 2003, he began performing bass parts in La Bohème, Iolanta, Verdi’s Requiem, and Medea at the Antalya State Opera and Ballet, participating in the Aspendos Festival with La Bohème and Medea. In 2004, he performed the role of Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love at the Istanbul State Opera. In July 2005, he performed Verdi’s Requiem in Marl, Germany, and repeated the concert at the Ephesus Ancient Theatre the same year. In 2006, he premiered A. Hoca’s Çanakkale Çanakkale, and in 2007, he premiered Aydınlıgın Adı Atatürk.

On May 9, 2009, Rodos performed the role of Captain Lara in the world premiere of Ruperto Chapi’s La Muerte de Garcilaso at the Izmir Opera, and in June 2009, he performed three more shows in Toledo, Spain, and participated in the DVD recording of the opera. In 2010, he performed Aşk-ı Memnu in Gijon, Spain, and in 2012, he performed in Amsterdam, Cairo, and Alexandria, and in 2011, he performed A. A. Saygun’s Yunus Emre oratorio in Osnabrück, Germany, and made a CD recording.

Rodos continues to perform concerts domestically and internationally with the group 3 Basses, which he formed with Ankara Opera soloist Tuncay Kurtoglu and Istanbul Opera soloist Zafer Erdaş. He has given numerous concerts with piano and orchestra accompaniment and performed successful concerts at the Eschenbach Palace and the Russian Cultural Institute in Vienna in 2001. He has worked with conductors such as Hikmet Şimşek, Ercan Yenal, Rengim Gökmen, Emin Güven Yaşlıçam, Naci Özgüç, İbrahim Yazıcı, Alexandru Samuila, Winfried Müller, Andre Giorgi, Michael Tabachnik, Selman Ada, Nezih Seçkin, and Tulio Varas.

Rodos has performed numerous concerts with symphony orchestras in Turkey, and in 2002, he toured the Black Sea region with the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Rengim Gökmen. He continues his work as a soloist artist at the Izmir State Opera and Ballet.
