TARIK TAL
CONDUCTOR

TAL began his musical education at the Armed Forces Music Petty Officer Preparatory School and graduated as a Band Lieutenant from Hacettepe University State Conservatory, Department of Composition and Band Conducting in 1999. In 2000, TAL continued his studies in the Composition Department of the same university, working with İlhan BARAN on New Music Styles, and with Burhan ÖNDER and Serdar MUHATOV on Composition. He actively participated in Chamber Music workshops with Reinhard FEBEL and Peter SHEPPARD (Skaerved). Between 2001 and 2010, he successfully represented our country in many festivals, concerts, and events both domestically and abroad as a member of the world-renowned Orfeon Chamber Choir. From 1996 to 2014, he continued his Contemporary Music studies with Ertuğrul Oğuz FIRAT.
From 2000 to 2008, he served at the Presidential Guard Regiment, and from 2008 to 2010, he held the position of Concert and Ceremony Service Team Commander at the 2nd Army Region Band.
Between 2010 and 2013, he performed at ODTÜ Sanat 13, the 16th Ankara Jazz Festival, the International Afyon Jazz Festival, and the International Antalya Jazz Festival with the Turkish Harmony Stars (TÜRKAY) Orchestra, which he conducted under the Turkish Armed Forces Harmony Band. In 2013, TAL was appointed Deputy Conductor of the Turkish Armed Forces Harmony Band Orchestra, leading the orchestra in joint concerts with the Samsun, Antalya, and Mersin State Opera and Ballet Orchestras, and the Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra. He also gave successful concerts within the scope of the Mersin Music Festival, TRNC Bellapais Music Festival, ODTÜ Sanat 14 and ODTÜ Sanat 19, and the Balıkesir Zihnilatif Piano Festival.
